This giant among heart surgeons performed two heart surgeries on me and restored me to health I may never again have attained were it not for him.

Today, I read his obituary in the Boston Globe. I had received a letter saying he was very ill and that his practice was being closed but I never dreamed he would pass so fast. I think it is but six weeks from when I received this letter.

We, who need these miracle workers to fix our hearts, have lost one of the kindest, most gentle, most talented, brilliant surgeons and Massachusetts General Hospital has lost a much loved member of their community. Harvard Medical School has lost a treasured Professor of Surgery. He was so very well liked and thought of and his reputation was sterling.

May his family find peace in his memory.
My prayers are assuredly with him and my eternal appreciation for all he did for me and so very many others.

May he rest in peace.

So sorry- when a great doctor passes, it is a great loss to all his patients as well as his family.

sorry to read your post. Those that perform surgeries are indeed special folks. Its a shame when someone who gives back so much is taken away.
