I had the low invasive approach done and this is at 4 weeks, BAV and dacron graft aorta through this tiny thing:cool:

Also I have more pics in my profile, one of a my tattoo that I plan on getting

Oh how I envy you. If you've seen mine, you know why. I was gutted like a fish. Lookin good dude!

Get out of town!!!!
THAT isn't a scar.........thats a paper cut.

Can tell by the smerk on your face that your proud and you darn well know we all envy you.

How are you going to get the girls to feel all worried for you with that little thing? :D

Holey smokes! I've had cat scratches that were bigger than that. Are you sure you had OHS?

Seriously, you look great. I wish mine looked that good at 2 years out. Something for the newbies to aim for.

No Way!:) You look great and I'm glad your recovery is going so well. I was wondering where you were lurking......don't stay away so long.:D

hahaha thank you all for being envious of my scar and yes i do believe i had the surgery, otherwise i went in for one hell of a visit to the hospital. I feel like it never happened now but thats youth at its best;) here i am 5 weeks out and just itching to get my strength back each day.

Thanks a ton for the support and I HEAVILY recommend my surgeon to anyone in the NW Ohio area, I would not go to CC because they could not do the low invasive approach because of the aorta, but Dr. Moront was able to. I guess sometimes the best kept secrets are in your hometown;)

Wow, that scar is so small, once your hair grows you won't even see it!
Thanks for posting to show us your scar.
Any others want to post and show off???
Take care Debbie :)

I think your doctor got his training from building ships in bottles:

Wow that is great. checked out your pics, like the pig, did you see Justin's tat I posted? BTW I just noticed you're a year older than Justin. I wish he would be interested in joining groups, Lyn

That 'scar' is crazy! It looks awesome...especially at 5 weeks! I'm definitely envious. Mine is about 9" and alot more noticeable. Congrats and be patient on your recovery. Your strength will come. Just don't try to overdo it too soon, or you will stretch your recovery time out. Youth is a wonderful thing...my recovery was quicker than most since I just turned 34, but you've got a leg up on me for sure. Take it easy and take care!

Robotics?

Robotics?

Was your done using Robotics? I have heard that there are some valve replacements being handled this way.

Looks great - I envy you. Most of us have the full blown circular saw incision. :)

I know what you are talking about the robotics and heard about that, but no, he split the top of the sternum and cuts it like an upside down T, thus keeping the lower part of the sternum intact. He splits the top about 2.5 inches for me, but most of the time the width of your fist, and he works through that hole. It is small, quite small, but he is able to do the entire operation through there and he did a hell of a job;)

WOW!!!!!!!!! i am seriously jealous. i look like frankenstein .....trish
