Well after some time waiting for a date I got my call this afternoon.. And with a little surprise my surgery is in 2 days.. Now i'm kinda anxious.. Hope everything goes well and now I have a bunch of people to call and things to plan as this is over a month ahead of when I expected.

I just put you on our surgical calendar, and I'm glad you decided to post.
It's great that you've joined us, but wish it were under better circumstances! I know you will be busy trying to make arrangments after such short notice of your surgery date.
I'm sure the surgery will go well, and I hope that you have an easy, uncomplicated recovery.

My best wishes and prayers are with you during your surgery tomorrow. Mine's the next day, so there are two of us feeling anxious. I hope that everything goes well for you and that you have an easy as possible recovery!

Prayers and best wishes from the Land of the Living Skies - Saskatoon

We'll keep the light on for you

P.S.
Hope you weren't planning on attending the big Indy race next week

So much better to go and get it done than to be anxious for another month or two.
Wishing you the very best. Hope you have a successful surgery and uneventful, fast recovery.

Be sure to let us know how you are doing as soon as you are able.

Here's hoping all the best for a terrific result tomorrow. The staff of the heart ward at U of A are extraordinary, the food is horrid but always served with a smile and only the fanciest plastic utensils and the halls are perfect for doing post-operative laps.

Please post back as soon as you can and let us know how you're doing.

Well... 30 minutes before my sheduled surgery a nurse came out and mentioned that mine was cancelled. I guess the first case was running so long that the surgeon ran out of time for the day. Waiting for a call tomorrow to see about another date. Let's just say I went out and ate the biggest steak I could after fasting til 4pm.
