Hi,
I had been reading these forums for a few weeks prior to my surgery without writing anything. The forums certainly helped me clarify many points in relation to my AVR pre and post surgery.
I am 3 weeks post surgery today, and I am happy to say that at this stage everything is going well.
I have been doing daily walking but start proper cardiac reconditioning tomorrow.

Jeff.

Hi Jeff,

Glad to hear you are doing so well. Cardiac rehab was well worth the time and effort. It helped me to learn just how far I could push myself without getting into trouble.

Karl

Welcome Jeff, but why didn't you post prior to surgery? No harm done, just wondering
Glad everything is going so well for you. Try not to over do it - it can be so easily done.

Never be afraid to post, we are here to answer any type of questions - even
how to fix a hicky:eek: :D :D (not kidding - it has been asked)

Good Luck on a continue uneventful recovery.

Cheers

Welcome, Jeff. Glad it went so well and hope you stick around to help other newbies in the waiting room. Best wishes for a continued uneventful recovery.

Want to welcome you Jeff, glad everything went well for you.

Hi Jeff - Welcome to the site; glad you found it. Also glad to read that things are going well for you. Take care and post again.

Welcome, Jeff, and glad you found us ! I am just over 6 months out, and didn't find this place until after my surgery. I am curious, also, as to why you didn't post before, you must have had a gazillion questions. You should check out the anti-coagulation threads, a wealth of warfarin info there, I found them very helpful when I first started it . . . and the guys here gave me the courage to stand up to my anti-coagulation management people and be much more pro-active.

Thank you all for the warm greeting and Happy St Patrick's Day to you all. I guess a shy Aussie is hard to believe, but that is the reason I haven't posted sooner. I did have lots of questions, but thankfully most had already been asked and answered.

In regard to the secret plan of Aussies taking over, can it wait 'til I'm allowed to drive again, in case I need to make a quick getaway? :)

Great to see another aussie we live in Lennox Head I had my one year anniversary in February. My American friends have been so helpful in all their postings. Welcome and hope to talk soon

Glad you have joined and did well with the surgery, keep up the good recovery. Now you can help people in the waiting room, all the best.

well, looka yonder, there's another one. Welcome to VR, Jeff.

I talked with an American gentleman who lived many yrs in Australia. He had the most wonderful description of your lovely country his life there and really wanted to stay. From his stories, I couldn't really blame him.

Looking forward to hearing from you more.

Nah, you don't need to have your getaway car ready. We don't let folks leave once they get on board. The gangplank is pulled right up after you.
