Hi Sharon,
My son is facing surgery soon, and a couple of doctors have said that repair is possible, which really makes us happy, but you always have to have a back up plan, the repair sounds great, it is the back up plan that is hard to decide on. What % did the doctor give you before the repair? Also was he very skilled in repairing the valve? My son is only 28 years old and rides motorcycles and we are all very sad, very depressed so I know what you guys are going through. This should be the times of their lives, they shouldn't have to be going through this. I hope I find a doctor that can really repair. We will have to decide on something though, just in case, I know god will be with us and will be with you all too. I will be praying for your son and your family.

Little time today, but I just had to jump in and let you know there is another person out there rooting for you and your son. So sorry that the repair did not last. Here's hoping that the replacement you choose will last for a very, very long time. A surgeon with alot of experience in redos and BAVs sounds like the way to go. Wishing you both all the very best of luck.

James is having his surgical consult Monday Morning. Things are really going fast. Last time it took sveral weeks to get in we had an appointment date in less than a week. It makes me a little nervous. His Cardio also had me take him out of school and told James to take it easy and get lots of rest. The school has been great they will be sending a tutor out to our home three times a week starting next week.

It's good the school is being accommodating. Best wishes continue. On the positive side, the sooner he gets this fixed, the sooner he'll be recovered and back to all those things teens enjoy.
