Hi Gang,

I just thought I would let yall know that Ole' Harrybaby has applied to a Technical College to study Information Technology. I decided to try and not let my illnesses get the best of me, although, I intend to start out part time the first semester and see how things go.

I decided to go back to school, as it seems that in my area, a person cannot even obtain a part time job when you are ill even though you can do the job, so I thought I would try and fight back by going back to school. I have been working with our local Vocational Rehabilitation Department who are required to help me because I am on SSDI.

I thought that this would be the best field for me as I love computers (I work with a Mac and a PC and I Love using Linux as well, so I thought that as long as I can sit in front of a computer and type and I enjoy it, why not try and put it to use. I am just too excited....:D :D :D

Harry I think that is a fabulous, intelligent, practical and excellent plan!!!! I'm so glad you are going for it!

Keep us posted and good luck!

Marguerite

I am hoping that when I meet with the Department Head at NH Technical Institute, that he will be able to understand what I am up against physically and help me get into computer work from home...This would be awesome for me. Harry:D :D :D

Pssst, CIA

You know it's funny. I applied for and Got a Job with AT&T, but because I didn't pass the initial background check, they had to let me go.....well, I told them I most certainly wanted to follow through with the thorough background check, and at the end of August, I GOT my security clearance.......BUT......at the same time, the government went into a hiring freeze, so I still didn't get my job back......I have the clearance....just not the job......I admit...the CIA angle is intrueging....(sp) LOL:D :D :D
