Although I do not post often, I lurk a lot on the site. For a while now I have noticed that Stretch has not posted. Then today when it was pointed out that his web site on his surgery no longer worked (I tried to get in too, and I can't), I started to get worried. Does anyone know what has happened to him?

I am also worried about Pathfinder. Didn't he have surgery last week?

Hopefully Stretch is living the good life and too busy/happy to post.

I was able to view his amazing pictures till very recently, and then suddenly the site was no longer available, which suggests to me that he may be working on it to edit it or - sadly - no longer wishes it to be viewed. I wish I had saved it to my hard drive now - has anyone got a copy of it?

I would find it hard to believe Stretch would take them down because he no longer wanted them viewed, as he seemed so proud his photojournal, at least not without some explanation to his VR family on his reasons. That said, we should assume that is his wish, so IMHO I think we should repect it and not distribute them.

I agree. I also wonder maybe he was getting lots of negative feedback. I did email him the other day, and IF I hear back i'll let you know if he doesn't post here. He also travels alot to alot of places it isn;t easy to get online, so may take awhile to respond

Hey the guy was posting hot and heavy for most all of his recovery. He probably woke up one day and thought to himself, gee I'm not making any money unless I'm shooting pics and went back to work.

I was thinking that myself until the pics disappeared. By the way, I did save the site when he first posted it, but I can't get into it from there either and I used to be able to.

I did a little Internet sleuthing and found that Stretch was doing a photo shoot for Nike just last week, so I think his fans can all rest easy. Ross is right: The guy is no doubt busy, busy, busy. As for his website, I suspect it is undergoing a makeover.

Hey, guys! Thanks for the notes.

I'm fine! No need to worry!

I've just been *very* busy with Stretch Photography lately, and Boy Scouts, and haven't had a chance to get to VR.com, although I've meant to do so for weeks now.

Just returned this very morning from Seattle where I was shooting a big ad campaign for Nike.

My running had gotten up to 5 miles a day, then the Nike job came in and I've not had time even for that.

Please give eveyone on the board my best, and my apologies for my absence. I promise to get back in the conversation soon.

Peace-

That's good to know!!

Wayne, as for PathFinder, I am sure his surgery was Thursday of last week, not two weeks ago. Even so, it seems to me he should be home by now.

You're right. It was the cath he was supposed to have two weeks ago, and then didn't. Anyway, I hope we hear his "other side of the mountain" update soon.

Hey, I just went through surgery, and believe me, Stretch's pictures helped me greatly in getting through it. I had to try to understand as best I could what was going to happen. Pre-surgery I had told some folks at work about the pictures and most were of the attitude "why would you want to look at that"? Well, I guess it was just me but they helped me greatly in coping with this whole thing both pre-and-post op. I thank you, Stretch. -Dan

I got this http://stretchphotography.com/ from his profile under the members list and was able to see his pictures. One pic comes up and if you click on the bar above as it moves each picture will come up for you. I counted 24 of them.

Are you talking about the pictures of his surgery, or the pictures he takes? I was looking and didn't see his surgery ones

"pictures of his surgery"

"pictures of his surgery"

I guess it pays to pay attention to the subject matter at hand a little more closely! :) ;) :) Pumphead or old age????????????:)

It has something to do with living in Ohio. ;)

You sure about that Ross? What link are you using?
Inside joke Alan. When a member goes missing for too long, Fluffy, the blood mouthed dog, is released to find them and bring them back.
