Hope he cooked em in beer and onions first.

It's even chilly in Orlando, well kind of, will hit 53 tonight.

I make sure that any coat I buy has enough room to wear layers of clothing under it. Layers are what keeps you warm, one should have a high neck. A hat is surprisingly warm, especially when it's windy, and ear muffs are not just decorations. You will feel much warmer if your ears are covered. Ditto a scarf which sort of fills up the drafty places in your neck area.

If your coat has a drawstring at the waist like an anorak, cinch it in to keep drafts from getting to your upper torso. Your coat should have a collar that you can pull up and if need be button in that position.

Mittens are generally warmer than gloves, but I must say I have a fleece lined pair of gloves which are just as warm as mittens.

When it gets bitter cold, then it's time to break out the heavy duty things like silk underwear-leggings and undershirts, face masks, bib type snow pants, sub-zero rated winter coat with an attached hood that can snorkel, preferably with a fake fur ruff on it, probably down. And the coldest rated boots that you can get with good traction and an extra size larger for heavy socks. Make sure your boots aren't "sock eaters". Then if the snow is really deep, gaiters.

And don't forget YakTrax.

And you will need a coat for your dog and if you get very cold weather, boots for the dog too.

There now, I think you'll be ready. Is it more information than you wanted to know? :D

Oh, you will look at least one hundred pounds bigger than you are.

Yeah, 41 degress here in S Carolina this morning.. It was warmer in my home state of Maine today believe it or not!!!!! Rose

snowing here in PA, just heavy flurries, but the kids are lovin' it ... and we're getting the hot chocolate & marshmallows out!

I only drink hot tea in the winter and I bought me a supply for work and home this weekend. 33 at my house in Ga. this morning. I am at working drinking a cup of caffeine free Black Cherry Berry tea now.

It's 75 here now. We had our fall a few days ago - about 3-4 days of temps close to 50 in the morning and of course raining. We did have a few pretty days too. Now it's climbing back up again with highs in the low 80's. I'm looking forward to our 3 days of winter, which could hit anywhere from now until March.

Nancy, I think that I would just have to stay home. No wonder there's so many babies born in the summer and early fall up north! Nothing else to do! I can't imagine teaching in that kind of weather. It takes my kids long enough to take their backpacks off!

This is our best season

This is our best season

Bonnie:
It was 89 degrees yesterday and today it is 85 degrees and sunny. Arizona is a bit of a challenge in the summer months, but Autumn is just wonderful....Actually, I would like it just a tad cooler.

In Puerto Rico it's coffe picking time. And they are approaching their most comfortable time of the year. This is my son-in-law with our grandaughter out picking coffee. Joe' s whole family is from Honduras, and they have a lot of land devoted to the growing of coffee.

We got the rain, hide tides and lots of wind today. It was coming from the Southeast and we had a lot of beach erosion- right up to our seawall and we can see rocks now that we never knew were there. We have to pray that we get a few Nor'easters this winter to drive the sand back so we don't have to do a lot of shoveling and filling when we get home in the spring!:( Luckily, we worked hard all last week and had all the beach furniture, etc. stored for the winter.

We're having a bit of fall here in South Texas. Last night it was in the 50's and tonight it's supposed to be 49! Brrrrrr good sleeping weather. It's supposed to be back in the 80's in a couple of days. I miss the Northwest in the fall and in the summer, but the rest of the time it's OK here.

We went to the lake today (Table Rock) and the Ozarks are beautiful this time of the year. The trees are all colors of yellow, red and orange. Just beautiful! ! I think it was about 75 today. :) :) I didn't need a coat but had on long sleeves. I sincerely love this time of the year.
