Hi Gang,

I thought I would share some of the pictures my wife and I took last weekend. We went to Bavaria for the weekend. I can only get one per post, so I will add a few posts to this.

Ross, I cleaned up my old pictures and deleted them from the site. I'll also do the same to these in a week or so. Thanks for letting me know how to post these! It worked!

Rob

This is of the Castle in the Alps. It is the one Disney used as a model when he designed the Disneyland Castle.

This was taken a few weeks earlier on the Rhine. I saw many castles along the way, and as you can see .. many vineyards along the Rhine. This was a 5 hour cruise up the river, and of course... 5 hours back. I think the next time, I will stay at one of the villages along the way to breakup the excursion. The next pictures will show one of those villages.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for sharing. Beautiful country! We plan to be over next year sometime. For an extended period of time. Want to see it all!

Enjoy my friend.:)

PS. That bridge looks very cool. But scary from below!!!!

Hello Gina,

An extended period of time... Are you starting to learn German? So far, I have been here for a total of 135 days this year. It looks as though I will continue working in Germany, and some other European countries through out the next year as well.

Let me know where you will be staying when you come over here. I fly into Frankfurt, and take the train towards Cologne. I work just outside Cologne, in a great town called Siegburg. It is very close to Bonn.

Cristi has had the opportunity to come over a few times since I have been over, and when she is over we take the opportunity to travel and see some wonderful sites.

I am learning to speak German, at least enough to get around. Hopefully I will be speaking it fluently within the next few months.

Good to hear from you,

Rob

what gorgeous scenery. The castle is very recognizable, isn't it? Do people actually live in those castles or are they made into tourist attractions?

Think I'd have been a little scared up on that bridge!

Beautiful - truly breathtaking. I know you are enjoying all of it.

Thank you for more pictures.

I had the opportunity to travel to Europe in high school with a musical group. We spent 21 days seeing 7 countries. INCREDIBLE! I can't remember the name of the village that we stayed in in Germany - very small and beautiful place. We did visit Dachau Concentration Camp. Quite a different veiw than these beautiful pictures - but I have always been glad that I had the opportunity to visit.

You are lucky to have the chance to work there! Where else will you visit?
