Got it for free too from my landlord/neighbor who had pulled it from the bedroom in order to make more room, when I mentioned I was going to rent one from a rent to own place I was offered this one for free ;) and so I took it.. They even delivered it and carried it in for me(I have great neighbor/landlord Ive lived here 11 1/2 yrs)

Its not as fluffly as I might would prefer, but it really is fine and I can fluff it up w/ pillows if needed, its pretty too ;).. Thing is it has the handle on the side to recline it and Im not sure that once reclined I'll be able to *un-recline* so I may be at my kids' mercy to do that for me, which they will as they are good kids..

I do have a motorized hospital bed that was given to us when my husband was first diagnosed w/ pancreas cancer in '01, its taken apart and stored in closets, but if needed I can make a couple calls and get some people up here to put it together in my room..I just hate too because it takes up so much space, but it really is comfy and may come in handy.. I had forgotten it was here.

Bought tons of groceries today, and everythign that needs cooked can be popped in the microwave. Gotta go back to the store tomorrow tho as I forgot to get catfood and light bulbs and dryer sheets and bottled water ;)..

Its starting to come together.

That's great, Grace! I think you'll be glad you have the recliner. As I recall, it was a bit tricky getting up from the recliner but easier (at least for me) than getting in and out of bed. Sounds like you are going to be well prepared.

Grace,
Sounds like you got it covered. You will find the recliner the best choice. The hospital bed might be helpful unless it will drive you crazy to have it taking up space.
Glad you thought of the cat food. Cats can be a bit pushy if they do not get fed.;) :D ;)

You will love your recliner. We had just bought one before I had my surgery. You put it down with your legs which worked real well for me. I put pillow all around me. It seemed to help when I coughed or had to use the breathing machine. Good luck and you will be in my prayers.
