Being born with a bicuspid aortic valve, aortic stenosis and aortic insufficiency can make for a pretty interesting experience in gym class growing up.

Since my surgery on May 17th (Ross Procedure, 26mm pulmonary homograft)...I have felt...well, nothing. No shortness of breath, no chest pain, no dizziness, and all this during exercise. Wow!

I can walk and hold a conversation at the same time, I can walk up a couple of flights of stairs and not need rest. I honestly can't wait to get onto a treadmill. :)

They have the technology, they have rebuilt me.
