Yes, it concerns me, too. I am using that as the basis of my appeal. I feel sure my doctor will support me on this. And I am hopefully optimistic that my ins co will eventually pay for home testing. I don't know if my doctor will go along with self dosing but I would like to do that as well. I am normally a really upbeat person. But when I found out my ins co said they wouldn't pay for the monitor, I was really depressed. I started feeling some better as I've been getting my appeal documentation together.

I had my INR checked on Friday. 2 weeks ago it was 3.1. Since that time I have resumed drinking wine every night with a few nights of no wine. I'm only having 2 drinks per night and it didn't affect my INR. My Friday INR was 2.6 and the nurse was surprised to find me in range. She agreed to schedule my next appointment for 1 month from now as I've been in range for a month now.

I think I'll have another glass please.

Doug
