Am I doing something wrong?

I have had a problem with the private message function a couple of times. I log into the board, then go to user cp to read messages. Then I compose a reply, but when I hit "send" the system says "You are not logged in." When I log in (again) it has lost my reply and I have to start over.

Did I do something wrong?

Go into Edit Options and make sure that you have enabled all of the Private Messaging options.
