I need to clean out my PMs again..............sigh! But I have some that have some really good info in them...........links, etc., that I would like to keep. Is there any way to e-mail these to myself, or is my only solution to copy and paste into a word document and save on my hard drive. I'm afraid you are going to say the latter is the only way, but that is sooooooooooo time consuming that I'm hoping there is an easier way. Hugs. J. and thanks!

Dumb answers about PM's. :D
Right under the listings in the inbox on the right hand side, you'll see a clickable to save all messages as XML, CSV. or text. Choose text and it'll save all of them. You have to choose a location on your computer to save the file to though. :D

dang, he's smart! Sometime we all ought to click on those little thingys that we don't know what they are. I bet we'd get surprised - a lot.

When I "click on those little thingys that we don't know what they are," I always get in trouble.

Now I'm glad I did ask! I was mulling it over, wondering if I should really publicly advertise yet again how technically challenged I am. Thanks a bunch, Ross! And thanks for the picture, too! That should make it "me" proof!
And, yes, Ann, but I am like old goat in this regard and usually end up freaking my computer out in some way and having to reboot .........:D
Many hugs. Janet

I've been thinking about how dumb I was when I found this forum.(And no, I'm not saying you're dumb, Janet!:p :p )
I had never even visited a website forum, so after I registered and was directed to the VR main page, I was dumbfounded.
For about a week, I didn't know what the avatars were. I didn't understand about usernames--fyrfytr or BVRD along with others.
When members responded to my questions, and didn't sign their name at the end of the reply, I had no idea who had written it. I can't remember exactly what avatar Ross was using at the time, but it was something crazy, and I thought he must be either trying to scare me or he was vehemently opposed to the question I had asked (and was using a "visual" to express his feelings!):p :p :p
I thought about this today when I replied to a new member. I signed my name at the end so there would be no doubt about who wrote it.
I realize I was probably more naive than most, but I figure if it happened to me, it could happen to others.:D :D :D
So Janet, if you're dumb, I've been dumber!;) ;) ;)

Where else could I find two people claiming to be dumber than me? :D
Yeah, Mary, you're right. I still find little features that I never knew existed.............like being able to save your PMs. I still remember the first time I read, "Check your PMs." I reread my posts and thought, "Gosh, is it reallly that obvious? How do they know I am PMSing? Maybe, I had better check my PMS!!!" :D :D
Hugs to you both. J.

know what? We need to start a thread all by itself that contains little tricks 'n things about the VR site that many of us don't know - or even know to think about. That way we don't have to ask anybody - just read for ourselves. I know I would refer to it often.
F'rinstance, I have reversed threads to that the latest comes up first and first (original) one is at the very last/bottom. Now when I go in to check the latest post, I don't have to hunt through 55 posts to find it.
Do you receive via email any new answers to a post to which you have already posted? (how ya like that grammar?)
Do you know what 'quick links' (above) is?
what do you think?

Ann, I learned a long time ago that this what happens to people who voice their ideas. (Ross, you're keeping us entertained as always....just don't stop....you either Ann).
