I'm 8 weeks post-op, and have been exercising under the supervision of the cardiac rehab unit of a local hospital for the last six weeks. But I feel so good that I'm exercising the days I'm not in rehab (I take off a Saturday or a Sunday every week), and a couple of days ago I started up on the Concept 2:
20 minutes and 3,500m day 1
45 minutes and 8,012m day 2
I think I'm going to like this!
Thanks for being a role model!

Mitralman-
Good for you- it really is great exercise. Now you can join our rowing club!
Go to the Concept 2 web site: Concept 2 Rowers (http://www.concept2.com) and click on the link for the rowing log. Create an ID and log in - you will be able to record your meters on line. When you create your profile for logging, you can select a University/club affiliation - look down the list for Row Hearty (get it? ;) ) and select it as your club affiliation. Your meters will be added to ours (Me, Arbee and Melissa M.) Our rank is currently about 232nd. We'd love to have you - and the on line log is a great motivator. This month C2 is having a challenge where your name is put into a drawing for C2 merchandise each day you row 5,000 meters or more.
go for it!

I agree - the PM3 provides much better information and motivation. Join the on-line rowing club for heart patients - Row Hearty! Add your 50,000 plus meters to our total and watch us climb in the standings.

All Right! Thanks for joining us!
Ar bee and Melissa, I know you've been rowing. Don't save up those meters! Get them logged so we can show the rest of the world what we're capable of doing!
